Illustration Friday - "Ahead"

Not really sure what was going on here.  I was in a colouring-in-graphics-tablety mood... and this is what came out.

Business Cards

I want to make a stamp for my business cards, and then making the cards will be like a little print-making session.  Ahh, fun times.

The week ahead

Okaay, so there's 5 + 14 days until the deadline.  Minus 2 where I am away for a weekend, minus 2 where my cousin is getting married...leaving 15 days to get everything done.  (And i'll probably be working at least a couple of days...so it's less than 2 weeks)

This morning:
Draft up creative cv/cover letter/business cards/logo branding stuff before college.
Colour up last bird.
Scan birds into computer at college :)

Beginning of the Book

Been drawing pipits today :-)  I was aiming to do two...and I've done two.  Yesss.

I'm going to scan them all in at college next week - hopefully by then i'll have the backgrounds and scenery and the front cover all done too.  Excitiiing!

From left to right:  me, my Grandma-Pam and my big sister Sarah.  It's a sketch of a photograph of the first time Sarah and I met Pam in 2008.  I edited the sketch in photoshop to make the lines stand out more...  here's what it looked like before:-

It was so sunny yesterday.  My geraniums are getting MASSIVE and taking over the whole window.

edit///  I made Mr. Fish a sea to swim in.  (I liked drawing the anemones and coral)

Stuff I learned when making the sea = how to add "noise" to layers, what the different effects for layers do - especially bevel and emboss...and the joys of smudging :-)

NYC (pt. 1)

Well, I was planning to upload my photos from MoMA in this post...but I left my camera in the hotel that day.  Here are some of my scribbly drawings instead ;-)

These next sketches aren't from the MoMA but i'm putting them here anyways.

I really want to do some print-making when I get back to college... the Picasso exhibit was amaazing.
